Do you have a hard time deciding what to get
your mom for Mother's Day?
Maybe it's not your mom, maybe it's your daughter, an aunt, or a niece?
You would like to give the a gift with a little more meaning, instead of just flowers or a gift certificate.
“For My Children: A Mother’s Journal of Memories, Wishes and Wisdom” is a
beautifully designed and illustrated book with creative prompts that
will spark Mom’s recollections of fun family vacations, favorite games,
and special holiday traditions.
The book is hardcover and features 7 sections:
Motherhood
Family and Home
Children
Life Wisdom and Wishes
Love and Relationships
You in the World
On Being You
Questions in the book range from the lighter:
"What is some of the craziest parenting advice you ever received?"
to the heavier:
"Of all our five senses, our sense of smell has the strongest link to memory. What smells do you associate with your family - with home?" and
"Have you ever nursed a broken heart?"
The questions cover the basics and delve deeper for the things that you may not realize of know about her. Things you never thought to ask, but will love to know. The questions can be used as advice for new parents or in relationships, but more so can be used to learn more about your mother as a person.
I think this is a great book and a wonderful idea.
I received a somewhat similar book from my grandma when I was maybe 10 or 12 years old. She actually completed one for each of her grandchildren. I read it and I learned things about her that I never knew and that she may have never gotten around to telling me. That book is still at my parent's house. I need to reread it as an adult and see what I learn from it.

This is such a cool idea, if only my mom would actually be interested! She's just too busy with work and all. Hmpfh!
